Hanging onto what is left!
When did I finally wake up and smell the roses? Was it when our second son was born? Was it when I had to quit my job because my once physically capable husband was deemed disabled and couldn't even get himself out of bed every morning? Was it when I realized that the government had completely messed up our lives? Was it when we moved our family 400 miles away from a home owned in a once adorable and then infested with drugs and disgusting human beings? When was it really? That I cannot tell you, but what I can say is that things happen for a reason. This reason gave us a reason to keep going on!
I have had many nights where I am wondering what the heck is next, how do I take care of my family, and good god what do I do? The nights have shown me that no matter what there is always a morning and you HAVE to go on! Go on to what? As you can tell by now it is obvious that I have to go on, we all have to go on.
The truth of the matter is our way of going on does require some serious planning due to nature of my husband's disability. We will call him Mr. T. His disability is one that causes debilitating pain and he cannot function with serious medications, which in turn means that we need to be near a prescription writing practitioner. We have been so lucky as to have made a great move to Northern Washington and found a town with -0- crime. Absolutely wonderful as the area we came from seemed to be 100% crime ridden. So, with two children it was important for Mr.T and I to find a home that would be safe and academically sound for our children. We found it. We would like to call it, heaven.
Mr.T and I with our children and two dogs are now living in heaven. Do we all subscribe to the ideology that one day we may be so lucky as to experience such a place? I know that I truly did not know that this type of place would exist.
My blog is geared towards those of us who have been taught that the "American Dream" is to have "the" job, be highly educated, and be able to keep a home. These things I have accomplished and when the slime has been wiped from my eyes I see that the "American Dream" is nothing but a way to be Uncle Sam's slave. Ugh... Not seen until this disability. I am young, Mr.T is very young, and we now see as we are behing the curtain. A most perfect example is the movie "Wizard of Oz". From what most do not know is the true reason why the movie was created. Ha... Ha.... Gold and Silver roads, follow the yellow brick road, Mr. Tin man, the great Oz behind the curtain. Open your eyes that movie was saying, Good God Man OPEN YOUR EYES! It has taken us this experience to show us the Great Oz and I have to say he is a really sad being.
The Golden Rule that we have heard - do unto other's, as you would have done unto you. Hum.... I want to add - if you are doing something wrong and you cannot sleep at night because of who you are, then change who and what you are doing. Those who do sleep at night and do not care how other's are treated are the scum of the earth that I will say to you my reader - RUN!!!! Do Not look back!
As we move into adulthood with our family, bills, and responsibilities. It is extremely important to not forget that we are just another animal. We are here to learn together and grow - together. Sometimes all you have is your family. Hanging onto what is important is the truth about who we are and who we will respect and love throughout our lives.
Future posts will include - living off the grid, self-defense, and more information about what is and is NOT important in life! Come with an open mind and open heart as that will only ensure that you are ready to understand the real meanings of who we are and how to get the most out of your very minimal time here on EARTH.
